Condé Nast Traveler "Readers' Choice Award 2016"...
After getting 2016 off to a golden start with the huge honour of being listed as one of the best 147 hotels in the world in the "Gold List 2016", published by the famous international travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler, now at the end of the year comes the Readers' Choice Award 2016, yet another international award for the Green Spa Resort Stanglwirt.
Every year, readers of the Condé Nast Traveler magazine have the chance to assess their favourite hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships and airports around the world. And they all agree that, in the Resorts (Europe) category, the Stanglwirt definitely belongs in the Top 10.
The hotel - family run for eleven generations - was the only resort in Austria to impress the international Condé Nast community and now joins famous establishments like the Caresse Resort & Spa (Luxury Collection) in Turkey, the Borgo Egnazia in Italy and Ashford Castle in Ireland. There were a total of 544 resorts around the world to choose from.
"Our family is overwhelmed and very moved by this international recognition. Above all, we would like to thank our staff who have made such a huge contribution to this prestigious award, and our many loyal guests who are so dear to our hearts and for whom we are glad to do our very best every single day," said Maria Hauser-Lederer, junior director and head of the hotel's marketing and PR operations.
What the readers of the Condé Nast Traveler particularly appreciate are the unique features such as the natural Kaiserwasser water from the hotel's own spring, the landscaped roofs with sheep grazing on them, the remarkable close-to-nature architecture, the newly expanded and incomparable wellness worlds for families and those in search of peace and quiet and, not least, the 400 years of tradition and the homely family atmosphere.
"At heart, we are a big organic farm with a luxury hotel," says Stanglwirt host Balthasar Hauser and, for guests, this combination of contrasts was one of the special features of our hotel.
