Since 2012, the Stanglwirt has been sourcing 100% CO2-free green electricity from the small Tyrolean hydroelectric power station belonging to Ökoenergie Tirol GmbH, a subsidiary of TIWAG.

For us, "green" is not just an empty buzzword. We have been following this path consistently for decades. "That's why it is very important to us that our electricity also comes from renewable, local resources. It is Ökoenergie Tirol GmbH that makes it all possible," raves Maria Hauser about the new partnership.

Sustainability is what counts

Ökoenergie Tirol GmbH was founded in order to supply far-sighted businesses and environmentally-aware private customers with 100% CO2-free green electricity from small Tyrolean hydropower plants. It is TIWAG's ambition to use green electricity to set the ball rolling for a Tyrolean energy strategy, and to do their bit for the transition to alternative energy sources.

From now on, we too can be part of this consistent overall concept, with our electricity supplied by small Tyrolean hydropower plants. Ökoenergie Tirol buys 100% of its energy from small Tyrolean hydropower plants, such as the power station at Bruckhäusl near Wörgl, or the power station at Zams. The energy is analysed and certified in accordance with the Green Electricity Act. Thanks to this proof of origin and confirmation from an independent auditor, it has been proven that Ökoenergie Tirol electricity is completely clean and CO2-free.
