This year, the Stanglwirt was once again the venue for the traditional PBI Tennis Masters - an event that stands for passion, sporting challenge and international flair. From 20 to 23 November 2024, tennis enthusiasts from all over the world came together to compete in our unique setting at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser. Three days full of excitement and team spirit - this year's tournament offered participants the perfect balance of intensive training, exciting matches and sociable get-togethers.
Local and international participants proved their talent in the tournament format with 4 games per set and a best-of-3 set. The women's doubles, which ended in a close result, and the men's singles, where both finalists impressed with their fitness, were particularly exciting.
Peter and Noah Fried, a father-son team, reached the men's doubles final for the third time in a row in 2024 (2022 winners, 2023 and 2024 finalists). Patrizia Desax-Fetz also impressed, defending her titles from 2023 in both the women's singles and women's doubles.
A highlight was the festive closing ceremony, where hard-won victories were celebrated and sporting achievements were honored. Each participant received the traditional PBI jersey- a coveted souvenir and symbol for the international tennis community.
